Pablo Balenzuela

Was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1969. He got his M. Sc. Degree in 1998 and his PhD degree in 2002 both in physics at the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina. He did postdoctoral stay with Jordi García Ojalvo in the Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya, Spain between 2003 and 2006. He is actually Independent  Researcher of the National Council for Scientific and Technological Research (CONICET, Argentina) and Associate  Professor at the CBC and Physics Department of the University of Buenos Aires. He actually works in understanding emergent behaviors in complex interdisciplinary systems, as for instance, how the set of thoughts / actions emerge from the underlying neuronal dynamics (statistical mechanics of the brain)? Or how emerging groups of groups of people or social networks from the interaction of a set of individual wills (Social Thermodynamics) behaviors?
